The Media Briefing of “Colombo Supercross 2018” was held at Naval Auditorium on 12th of June, and officially announced that the Colombo Supercross is scheduled to be conducted on 24th of June under the patronage of Sri Lanka Navy, Colombo Supercross Governing Council in collaboration with SLARDAR. The supercross will be raced-off at the NRC track which was designed by Mr. Hans Ralf Karpenski. The 9 times National Champion Mr. Gayan Sandaruwan too was involved in track design and preparation. The Car track has more drifting corners and the Motor Bike track possess the longest jump in Sri Lanka. The organizers are planning on extending invitations to FIM, The International Motorcycling Federation and other international motor racing event organizers to conduct Championship events at the NRC Circuit. The Main Focus is to develop the Sport throughout the island and to collect funds to uplift the lives of the families of handicapped or killed navy personnel’s in war.
